Ditubuhkan pada 5 november 2008.. bermula perbincangan di bawah pokok rambutan antara ayun & naim.. Perbincangan yang agak lame,saling bertukar pendapat dan akhir terus dapat kata sepakat.. terciptalah band nie.. yang muLanya duLu bernama PELANGI… stelah sekian lame kami terfikir untuk menukar name band yang lebih unik cikit…jadi kami pun berbincang…secara x sengaja salah sorang dari line up menyebut POTRET… jadi tercetus la POTRETBAND…. dibarisi 3 orang pemuda yang x hensem antaranya..Ayun sebagai vokalis dan gitaris… Faez sebagai bassist,back up vokal…Naim sebagai drummer…pada akhir tahun 2010 kami telah mengajak Haikal Zarrin sebagai sesionist lead gitaris… yeahh!!!.. support industri muzik tanah air..

Biography
Starting in late 2009, four best friends build up a lineup for their friend’s wedding ceremony on 26th December 2009 as their 1st performance in public, after that event, they start to take serious in making their band progress as they recorded a Malay singles called “Bidadariku” was produce under their own record label, after that they start to perform in small gig around Ipoh, KL & P.J. Currently, they are pursuing for performing in any gig around Malaysia in order to show their talent & promoting their singles. Now, they are working on recording a song for their upcoming 1st album. As they got nearly 1000 fans on facebook, they strongly believe that they will raise more fans in the future.
